I grew up in Missoula, Montana and after playing high school and college golf, decided to become a Golf Professional in 2003. Doing this allowed me to graduate with a degree in accounting and turf grass management. I continue to play at a high level and enjoys teaching everyone the secrets of the game that I have learned over the years.
Because of my love for the Game of Golf I was able to become a PGA Class A Member. As well as becoming a Callaway Master Club Fitter and Henry-Griffitts Club Fitter for the Diametrical Swing System. Also, one of the accomplishments I am most proud of is becoming a Operation 36 Top 50 Coach.
I believe in “fun” on-course instruction, short game development, understanding athletic motion (biomechanics), and crafting the mental game are the keys to comprehensive instruction. My true passion is growing the game of golf and allowing my students to have the same love of the game as I do. With over 2 decades of teaching experience, I value myself as having proficiency in a diversity of teaching methods including using modern technology, historical practices, and modern golf philosophies. At the core of every lesson, I want to know what motivates my students and makes the game fun for every individual. Knowledge of golf course agronomy also allows me to teach all of my students about the golf course and the natural environment around them.
